Pray for Our New President

4:53 pm Uncategorized

Last night was a historical night for the United States and the World.  The election of Barack Obama says alot about the progress the U.S. has made.  Regardless of one’s political views, I think most people can agree that the leaders of this World need our prayers.  We should ask that God helps them to make good decisions on behalf of the people they govern.  We must remember that our World leaders are mortal human beings who are given much power and responsibility.  They need the hand of God on them so that they use their power wisely and are able to stand up under the tremendous responsibility they have been given.

I am not American, but being Canadian, I do pray for our leaders. It is very nice that Barack Obama made history the way he did, and I agree, we all need to pray for him that he makes good decisions. After listening to alot of what Barack Obama said in the past, particularly about the Word of God….he definetely needs ALOT of prayers for his salvation, and for God’s direction in these last days we are facing. As far as needing the hand of God to use his power wisely….I believe that power corrupts in the hands of the wrong person, and when people are confused by the enemy regarding spirituality and the like, power can be a dangerous thing. So yes, Barak Obama definitely needs a whole lot more prayer than most Christians are even aware of for his future position as President of the United States.

It is so important that we have the right motivation and source when we pray. I know of many people who are very afraid and pray with intensity in regards to their issues and fears. There is so much going on behind the scenes in Gods realm that we do not see. Angels delivering messages, wisdom being dispensed, The Holy Spirit training hearts and minds. People seem to train their eyes on man rather than their spirit on spiritual things. Yes we need our minds, our eyes, our ears but we need to train them to think, see, hear the spiritual activities that are being performed. Or at least listen and take heart from those that do. No matter who is the President, it is indeed the God led prayers that rule our nation and others. We need only rest and believe what God lays on our hearts and minds to do rather than what others are not doing. We are ever moving forward.
